Burnout Pattern

Burnout is not just being tired.

It is a specific compound pattern — mind, purpose, and recovery failing together. The Alignment Pulse detects it in 90 seconds.

What burnout actually looks like in the data

Simple fatigue is a single-domain problem. You are tired, you sleep, you recover. But burnout is not fatigue. Burnout is what happens when three domains collapse simultaneously: your cognitive and emotional capacity (Mind), your sense of meaning and motivation (Purpose), and your ability to restore yourself (Recovery).

This is why rest alone does not fix burnout. You can sleep ten hours and wake up just as depleted — because the problem is not in one domain. The domains are compounding against each other. Low purpose erodes the motivation to maintain recovery habits. Poor recovery degrades cognitive function. Declining mind makes purpose feel unreachable. The system spirals.

This also explains why single-domain interventions fail for burnout. A meditation app addresses Mind but ignores the Purpose and Recovery collapse. A sleep supplement targets Recovery but does nothing about the loss of meaning driving the cycle. Compound patterns require compound interventions — targeted actions across all three domains simultaneously.

Burnout Signature
When all three domains fall below threshold simultaneously, the pattern compounds. Each domain degrades the others. Single-domain fixes cannot break the cycle.

The research behind each domain

The Burnout Signature is not a theory. Each domain in the pattern is backed by large-scale, peer-reviewed research. These are the studies the Alignment Pulse uses to generate your intervention protocol.

What makes this different from a burnout quiz

Most online burnout assessments ask you how stressed you feel and return a score. That is not measurement — that is confirmation. The Alignment Pulse works differently.

Typical Burnout Quiz
Single-domain: asks about stress or mood only
Returns a generic score (low / medium / high)
No evidence citations or effect sizes
Offers the same generic advice to everyone
Cannot detect compound patterns
The Alignment Pulse
+Measures across six health domains simultaneously
+Detects compound patterns like the Burnout Signature
+Every intervention mapped to peer-reviewed studies
+Generates specific, multi-domain intervention protocols
